New Rules for Applicants Applying for a Visa Outside of the Country of Their Origin Valid Since 1st of July 2023

The rules for applicants for short term visas (under 90 days of stay) remain the same - you may find them here.

For applicants applying for long term visas, residence permits and employee cards (all stays over 90 days) it is only possible to apply in a country other than that of their origin if they are legally residing in the country without interruption for at least 2 years and have a valid permit.

Some nationalities are exempted from these rules and may apply at any Czech consular/diplomatic mission, you may find the list here.

Since 1st of June 2023 The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman only accepts visa applications for citizens and holders of passports issued by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Palestinian Authority (only in case of residents of the West Bank), plus

• in case of short term visas for residents of Jordan and the West Bank who legally and without interruption reside in the respective country for more than 1 year
• in case of long term visas/permits/employee cards/permanent residencies for residents of Jordan and the West Bank who legally and without interruption reside in the respective country for more than 2 years

Providing a proof of legal residency is the responsibility of the applicant.
