Bank of Russia releases 2023 H2 Report on the RUONIA Oversight Committee’s Activity (19.04.2024)

The report presents the results of the monitoring and analytical review of RUONIA and RUONIA Averages and information on the movements of RUONIA and its use in financial instruments in the second half of 2023.

RUONIA movements in 2023 H2 are representative of the demand and supply in the interbank market. The daily volume of transactions included in the RUONIA calculation averaged ?464 billion, which was 13% more than over the previous six months.

In 2024, the Bank of Russia plans to adjust the RUONIA methodology and the list of the RUONIA panel banks to be in line with the structure of the interbank market and to expand the use of instruments based on the RUONIA benchmarks.
