National Financial Board holds meeting (28.06.2024)

At its meeting on 27 June 2024, the National Financial Board (NFB) considered the Bank of Russia Annual Report for 2023, information from the Bank of Russia Board of Directors on the key issues of the regulator’s activities in 2024 Q1, as well as the report of Limited liability company Fund of Banking Sector Consolidation Asset Management Company for 2023.

The participants in the meeting discussed the progress of the Bank of Russia’s project of the digital ruble platform, the results of the implementation of the Federal Law ‘On Digital Financial Assets, Digital Currency, and on Amending Certain Laws of the Russian Federation’, and the areas of regulation in the future.

In the course of the NFB’s meeting, the participants heard the report on the measures aimed at expanding the opportunities for fast-growing high-tech companies to offer their securities in the on-exchange market and on investment platforms.

The NFB approved the Bank of Russia’s 2023 report on total staff costs, expenses for pensions, life and health insurance of Bank of Russia employees, capital investments, and other general and administrative costs of the Bank of Russia, as well as Bank of Russia regulations on accounting in the Bank of Russia.

The NFB also made the decision to hold a tender to choose auditors of the Bank of Russia’s annual financial statements for 2024.
