On this Independence Day holiday, your National Weather Service continues to closely monitor multiple hazards across the nation. Severe weather and flooding threats across the center of the nation, dangerous and record-breaking heat for the Western States and Deep South. With many of us heading to the beach, watch for the potential for rip-currents along the coastal shores. The NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center remains a high focus on Hurricane Beryl as this system continues to track westward across the Carribean Sea and eventually into the southwest Gulf of Mexico this weekend.
